1990 SANDICAST Weimaraner Dog 10"x6" Figurine Hand Cast & Painted Statue 368.
Condition is Used.
This is a very Good Condition "Sandicast Weimaraner # 368 sculpture/ statue / figurine molded in 1990.
It is signed on the bottom by the artist "Sandra Brue". This is very rare and collectible. It is in excellent used condition with no chips or repairs. There are a few areas with flecks of white that could be touched up simply with a gray marker. These tiny white marks may have been part of the original finish, because it kind of looks like brushed on white hairs in a few areas but I don't know. They are not noticeable, very tiny and fine, and don't detract from the item what-so-ever. You can see from the many photos above from all directions that it is really a nice looking piece--very lifelike with great texture.
The eyes are realistic looking the way they are set back into the sockets and not just painted on like most figurines. These real looking quality glass eyes and fine detailing of individual hairs on the dogs coat give this sculpture an amazingly life-like look.
It measures approximately 10 1/2" long by 6 1/2" high & is good heavy quality material as it weighs over 3 lbs. He is portrayed in an alert laying down position as if it is looking up at you while you talk to it. This dog is rare and sought after by collectors.
I have been researching these online and very few are found however they have sold in the past for 0-0 online.
