You are buying
a Kit that consists of a 2" Spigot X 2" Slip Slice Gate Valve and a 2" Pump Union which measures about 3" inside the threads with Gasket or Oring that matches Union.
The Valve recieves a 2" pipe or fitting that measures about 2 3/8" on one side and then slips inside of a 2" fitting that measures about 2 3/8" ID on the other side which in this case would be the pump union. It will slip inside of the pump union and glue and screw to a 2" pump fitting. Don't be confused we also offer a slice valve with a heater union. look at where it is attached in the spa if it is attached to the pump and the plumbing is 2" and the pump wetend threads are 2" (Which means it measures 3" across the pump Threads)  then this part is correct. This part is used in hot tubs to stop the water so you could service the heater or the pump without draining the tub.
