Manfrotto 393 Heavy Telephoto Lens Support AKA Bogen 3421 - which this item is. Great for long lenses like a 600mm or 500mm f4. There's an extra set of holes in the outer frame to make finer adjustments than the 2 holes in the inner frame provide - my modification. Also included is a Stroboframe cold shoe for mounting your off camera flash. The QR plate has about 3 inches of movement plus there's a lock mechanism that prevents it from sliding off if you forget to tighen it properly. 1/4 and 3/8 " mounting screws provided as well and the allen wrench for removing the base plate or adjusting the panning tension (under the rubber cap). Base has 3/8 inch threaded mounting hole. Note that this head does not completely lock in either the tilt or pan direction, but the tension is adjustable so if your rig is balanced properly, locking will not be needed even for extreme tilting.
I used this for many years with the Nikkor 600mm f4 and it worked brilliantly. I've switched to a much smaller system due to my advanced years so it's no longer needed.
